Hi,

Perhaps this has come up before but one of our computers (Mac G5 Dual, Mac OS 10.4.8, Max/MSP 4.6.2) has the problem that dragging msp cords around results in a big mess in the patcher windows. It looks like a refresh problem.

I attached a screenshot.

If anyone knows how to solve this, please let me know!

Thanks,
Mattijs

Some additional information.

I think the problem started after a 10.4.9 update which ended in an error. A few day later the update worked, so its 10.4.9 now.

I also reinstalled max.

Its only in edit mode with msp cords.

Alas No really helpful suggestions, but if you installed from system update, you could try the combo update maybe?

What happens if you use “Millions of colors” for your display?

I downloaded and installed the file MacOSXUpdCombo10.4.9PPC.dmg and that solved the problem.

The site says: “The 10.4.9 Update is recommended for PowerPC and Intel-based Mac computers currently running Mac OS X Tiger versions 10.4.0 through 10.4.7 [..]” so i didn’t try it before.

Thanks.
