SDK maximum…

Hi… i’m finaly in the world of trying to port objects developped under code warrior to Xcode…

I tried to compile the maximum object and Xcode retourns me a warning saying :
return type of ‘main’ is not ‘int’
Is it ok ???

Just in case, please find herewith attached a sreen copy of the build result window on Xcode

Don’t worry about that one. Every max, msp and jitter object has that warning.

define main as:

int main (void) {

// your code

return 0;
}

and the error will go away.

Theoretically speaking this is a more correct
definition of main.
Practically, it doesn’t make a difference.

Thank you very much to the two of you… i have an other question :-(

what about that :
error: array subscript is not an integer

pointing to this in the code :


x->init_key[NULL];

when init_key is declared of type unsigned long

Is it possible to help me with this… (also, if there is a special forum for this, please tell me)

There was no problem under CodeWarrior…

NULL is probably defined as (void *)0L – just use 0.

Sorry – I’m not sure if I responded to you (I thought I did, but my
email program suggests I didn’t…).

This is a pointless warning, and won’t cause you any problems. This
would have been present in codewarrior if we hadn’t turned off that
test!
