I'm trying to connect 2 number boxes to an object or patch that allows me to output the highest current number. For example: box 1 = 451, box 2= 122, output = 451, only when I change box 2 to 452, the output will change to 452, if I then change box 1 to 0, nothing will change as 452 is still the highest number.

would be the most generalized solution which is triggered by both inputs without the need of additional trigger objects.

 to make sure that the very first input will also output correctly.

in case input can negative, use [pak -1000000 -1000000] to make sure that the very first input will also output correctly.
