Is there a way to limit send and receive devices to within the device they are in? When I open more than one instance of a device I end up with conflicts.

you need to give to the name a unique indicator . you can achieve it by adding "---" to the name of your objects .

[receive ---myRec] , [send ---myRec] . this way ,every instance of your device will give its ID to the names
