Can one go from a “plugin” to a “noteout”?

I have an object that takes the signal from plugin~ and turns it from msp into max information which I then turn into midi values. I want to be able to have this midi data come out of the effect and go into a softsynth.

Essentially, I want to go from “plugin~” at the beginning of my chain to “midiout”

If I delete the plugout~ and send the midi data to a midiout or noteout, it does not midi data to exit because it’s still sitting in an “audio” track in ableton.

I’m thinking I need a way to send it to a midi channel within the patch, then order a secondary midi track to “listen” to the channel specified in the audio track. I’m unsure of how to go about this specifically.

you need to look into the latency nightmare workarounds such as send / receive across devices, and if on a mac leigh hunt’s externals.
