Sending spaces via OSC to Lemur

Sorry to ask that here, as it is more of a Lemur question than a Max thing par se, but I find this forum much more helpful …
When sending multiple text items to a multi labeled object (such as a menu), I send a list. The spaces between the words set the text to the next menu item:
“/Menu @items Violin1 Violin2 Viola Cello CBass” sets item 1 to Violin1, item 2 to VIolin2,…

However, when I send this:
“/Menu @items Violin 1 Violin 2 Viola Cello Contra Bass” I get 8 entries to the menu: 1) “Violin” 2) “1″ 3) Violin … 8) Bass.

Obviously not what I want in that case … So, is it possible at all to tell Lemur to enter a space between words of one menu item? If so, how can I pack or z-list a text of unknown length in the format, that is interpreted correctly by the Lemur?

The item “violin 1″ in max terms would be a symbol, containing a space in itself.

sending /Menu @items “violin 1″ “violin 2″ etc works.
