We are pretty new in Max Msp, and are making a project, which we are to exhibit in two weeks. We could really use some help with some sensor problems and connection problems we have. But since we are not that good in Max, please explain as not-complicated as possible.

1: We need to have a motion sensor activate a soundfile, which should loop 3 times, when people approach our installation. So far we know how to loop the sound constantly, but not how to only loop it 3 times.

2: We also need help with connecting two computers through max over the internet. Our installation is split up in two parts (with a computer on both parts), and both parts needs to have the soundfile activated when people approach one of the parts (no matter which part people approch, the soundfile should be activated and played both places.

Our internet connection consists of two ubs internet sticks.

Thank you for the help - but we still have some questions that we hope you can help with :)

- The path you made with all, we opened them in Max on a mac and a windows computer, and it is working differently on the two computers.

On the mac: the soundfile keeps looping and isn't stopping after 3 loops.

On the windows: The soundfile is only looping 3 times as we wnated it too, but here the soundfile is only working sometimes.

- Also we are a bit unsure of where to write the Ip adress in your path?

I've try with the installation at my home with a PC and a Mac. Everything is working(Max must be authorized to work through the windows firewall).

The Ip address must be an argument of [upsend].

There's no problems with the loop on Mac neither with the sound file on Windows.

For Windows, it could be a path problem but no ideas for the loop problem on Mac. Can you send me the messages from the max window?
