I searched all over the forums and I can't find an answer to this. Maybe somebody can help.

Is there any way to get midi input objects to go back to "All Devices by Channel" once another input device has been selected? I have tried just sending "All Devices by Channel" to notein (for example) and that doesn't do anything. I can't find any reference to a message that might do this...

The possibility to revert to "All Devices by Channel" with the MIDI objects doesn't seems to exist in MAX. Would it be possible to add it?

So I ran into the same problem. Thought I would post my hack around it just in case someone is looking for something similar in the future.

The r MIDIonoff and last three gates are just how the whole thing plugs into the rest of my patch. You only need that if you want a way of easily turning all midi input off.
