Setting size etc. of a floating window in M4L

Hi, If I have a floating window in M4L then the normal ‘window size’… etc messages to this this.patcher object do not seem to have any effect – they work as expected when in the editor, but not when running native in Live.

Anyone else come across this or is there a different process for updating in this situation? thx Lee

I did this in a M4L device :

– Pasted Max Patch, click to expand. –

This works fine for me apart from the fact that the resized window looses focus..

Nice. I have to study [thispatcher] more closely… I guess combining both would work ?

Hi Kleine, this is what I’ve been doing… I cannot get this to work tho

If I just create a simple empty device (amxd), put this in, use the float button to make it float (this works fine), then using the size buttons has no effect…

Are you saying that on your machine that works ok? thx Lee

Yes, it works fine for me when used in an amxd (live 9.0.3 32bit, OS 10.8.3)
