sfplay~, preload, and repeated samples

Question for the collective ;)

Let’s say I load a sound file and define a couple preloads: “preload 2 1000. 2000.” & “preload 3 2000. 3000.”. If I send sfplay~ the message “2 3″, will it repeat the sample at 2000. ms? Anyone have a suggested method for figuring this out?

Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Create a sound file with ascending numbers, and then try out and record
the result. You can peek~ at each sample…
