sfplay~ problems

May 4, 2007 | 2:11 pm

Hi,
I am having a problem with looped soundfile players retriggering themselves at random lengths of the file before they have completed playing the whole file. (Some completely glitching out). In some cases they go crazy and cause the audio from other soundfile players which are playing through fine to stop completely. This is happening in a patch that ran without incident for 8 months last year. The difference is I recently bought Jitter and before downloading it upgraded my max/msp application to 4.6. This is running on a powerbook with OS 10.4.3 and 768 MB ram. All other processes, live sampling etc. are absolutely fine. Does the problem lie in the fact I?m not running OS 10.4.9?

grateful for any help…

Did you try increasing the buffer size of the playback objects?
