sfrecord ? how to record sound from several patch windows?

September 14, 2009 | 2:40 pm

Hi,

I have a series of small patches that simultaneously make sounds (and for headphone out put that works fine) and I want to record the complete mix within max to harddisc whilst the patches are running. I am looking at sfrecord but confused about how I bring all the sounds into that object. If it were just one patch and audio L R output leads from something… I can see how to do that … but what if multiple patches…? Is there a way of bringing all that simply into the sfrecord object ?

any help very much appreciated …

Hi,

you want to use QuickRecord.

You find in in the Extras menu.

All the best

adoutput~ is your friend. As it says on the box, it sums the output of everything that’s going to your dac~ ; hook it up to sfrecord~ and it will record the output of all your patches,
cheers
