sfrecord~ issues with my old PowerBook G4

July 6, 2010 | 6:08 pm

I’m doing an installation with my PowerBook G4 and I’m using a Logitech Webcam C200 to record the audio. When I record in Max the resulting audio file is high pitched and stuttering, like ‘hheelllloo’ in stead of ‘hello’.

I’m usually using aiff but the problem persists with all other audio formats when I use Max. The camera works fine for recording audio in QuickTIme. And my patch worked fine on my MacBook Pro as well.

Here’s the webcam I’m using.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I have no solution for your problem, however I just wanted to say that I experienced the same issues with a Logitech Quickcm Vision Pro. So if you find a solution, I want to hear. Anyway, it has nothing to do with your Powerbook being old, I used a macmini intel with 4 gigs of ram and it gave the same problem.
