Hi, could anybody tell me if there is a set maximum filesize that sfrecord~ can create, or if it depends upon individual computer specs? my g4 ppc laptop with 512mb ram will only allow me to create a 32 minute when recording straight to disk. i’m wondering if i can get a longer recording (with sfrecord~, not buffer~) if i install max on my desktop computer? (i cant find the answer in the forums or documentation..)
many thanks,
ol

I recorded easily much longer on my old PPC G4 Powerbook. Though if you use an old HFS file system it would put a limit on the file size at about 2 GB. HFS+ should not, can’t imagine you run on old HFS…

Anything else I would expect to be in your patch. You might maybe also increase the buffer of your sfrecord~…
