[share] piano_roll sequencer with open_GL & jitter.

I post few weeks ago something called matrix_seq.1_3 ; here a new version (update & fixed bugs).

New one doesn’t use [transport], and is more “universal”, and easy to use (i hope). I change his name, so no problem of filepath with old one.

Tell me if you have problems or questions (& bugs !). I learn, & i have time to spend…

Help is welcome to improve it (if you find it usefull of course, i know that is very hard to understand patches from others and sometimes better to rewrite it but…).

Here an update version of my stuff, much more easy to use, and with bugs fixed, (new name too) ; if you have ideas to improve CPU cost (with openGL) i’m curious to learn …

that’s not an external, but an abstraction i done only with maxobjects (with max 5), (and Jitter ! for opengl stuff).
(I never tried it with max 4.6).
I don’t think the javascript part is mac only.
I expected that it should work for all systems, but to be honest i’m not sure. I work on a macbook, and i have never tried it on a PC, (neither on other mac than mine).
As nobody send me feedback, i’m not sure that’s work somewherelse.

Give me more precision.

Is anybody can tell me if it’s working on his machine ?
(I make some improvement -recording midi, read/write TXT files, and so one- i would like to post, but if that’s already doesn’t work…)

sorry, i’m stupid, it’s not possible, of course. That’s for Max 5, just for max 5, and i’ll never go back to max 4.6 !

Maybe I’m just being daft… I’ve only been using Max 5 for a few months.

When I open tralala.maxpat, a patcher opens up with some grid lines on it, and my Max window says this:

expr: syntax error @scalarmode 1
bad expression int($i1-(($i1-$f2)*2)) @scalarmode 1
expr: syntax error @scalarmode 1
bad expression int($i1-(($i1-$f2)*2)) @scalarmode 1
expr: syntax error @scalarmode 1
bad expression int($i1*$f2) @scalarmode 1
expr: syntax error @scalarmode 1
bad expression $i1-(($i1-$i2)*2) @scalarmode 1
jit.gl.render: building GL on pwindow “#1″…

Not sure what to do… any suggestions?

Make sure that you have the latest Max 5. I’m not sure when the
scalarmode as attribute has been added.

I hope Emmanuel Jourdan’s reply help you, sorry i can’t tell you more.
(Opening the tralala.maxpat don’t forget to press keys (i think it’s shift+cmd on my macbook, sorry i’m not sure cause i need to go outside home to connect to the web and i’m too lazy to carry the computer, so…) to avoid [loadbang] to see rest of the patch).

I updated to the latest version of Max 5, but I am still having trouble. I put all of the files into the same folder and it still doesn’t work. I attached a screenshot to illustrate what happens.

I’d love to be able to get this working…

That’s just a filepath problem.

You should put all files in the max 5 searchpath.
You can set searchpath in the max 5 menu (somewhere a “files” stuff i think).

Try open lalala.maxhelp first (not lalala.maxpat who is the abstraction).

(Keep folders as original it’s better to try lalala.maxhelp, after do what you want, but keep all subpatches and js in your searchpath !)

Is it working ?
