Here is a patcher is use very often. Its a big Matrixctrl with semi transparent panel objects floating at mouse position always lighting up the text at the end of the specific column and row you are about to click on.

There is alot of stuff in there you will not need at all..sorry didnt have the time to clean up, but it not too messy i hope. If you already have the (great!)"textbrick" external You can use the two "Matrixbeschr" colls to have text around the matrix both normal and vertical for the columns. At the moment there is just oone problem:

If you drag the window, also the highlighting panel objects loose orientation, any ideas?

That just threw a load of errors, the main one being the [bpatcher] file was not embedded.
