For the last couple of years we (Electrotap) have been trying to figure out a good way of sharing the designs for our hardware and sensors in an open source kind of way.

Currently the software for the Teabox is open source and hosted at Github -- 

Has anyone else tried using a service like Github for keeping/sharing schematics or board layouts? Are there other sites that are better suited to hardware?
