sheduler preferences?

November 5, 2009 | 8:53 pm

maybe this problem does not exist, but i am not sure.

when i change the sheduler setting using the "interval 15"
message-to-max, is there any way of of resetting it to
the default of 1 ms at next startup?

imagine the following situation: i make an patcher which
set the max app on YOUR computer to 15 ms.
how would you now get a proper 1 ms sheduler back when
you dont know about messages-to-max yourself?
or when you dont even know what my patch did to your maxmsp?

i somehow feel there might be another way to reset it to 1 ms
than sending another message-to-max.

or is it as stupid as it had been with the 16 object colors
back in the days and just overwrites the setting permanently?

Speaking of terrorist acts. You could maybe reset on closing (closebang; or does it arrive to late?)

not too late, but closebang doesnt bang at all when the
window it is in wasnt opened. so it would have to be
in the main windows, which is not an option.

and if it is a subpatcher which is not opened it wont bang
at all.

i need something like "quitbang". (the final solution of
the terrorism issue?)
