Shortcur for freeze attribute?

August 16, 2008 | 2:54 pm

Are there any shortcuts for freezing attributes in the inspector?

If not, is it possible for me as a user to add such a shortcut? I have the impression that I only can add shortcuts to menu items.

And if the answer to both of these questions is no, would you be kind ot consider adding a shortcut for freezing the attribute for a future incremental update of Max?

Thanks,
Trond

While I’m at it, here’s one more minor feature request for your consideration concerning the behavior o the inspector. It is best illustrated using an example:

1. Create a new path
2. Create a new spectroscope~ object
3. Open the inspector, and select the value tab.
4. Select the "Round-ness of Box Corner" so that it’s highlighetd in the inspector.
5. Now change Display Mode from Spectogram to Sonogram
6. Click the Freeze button.

Result: The Round-ness attribute is frozen, not the Display Mode.

spectroscope~ is just an example here of a general behavior when changing attributes from pop-up menus in the inspector. It would be nice to have the Freeze, Unfreeze and Rest buttons always act on the last attribute selected or changed.

Trond
