signal to float – best way?

I’m setting up an envelope follower and need a float output.
I am using number~ right now, but I can only get 20ms resolution out of
that… Are there faster options available?

Cheers,
Andreas

For envelope follower, I would recommend peakamp~, abs~/slide~/
snapshot~… Number~ might give you some negative numbers because
your signal is generally between -1. and 1.

Of course, SNAPSHOT! Sheesh, totally forgot about that one… duh. and
yeah, I use abs~ ->rampsmooth~ already, I’ll give slide~ a go, too.

Thanks Emmanuel and Julien!
