simple way to invert pow curve

March 27, 2013 | 12:47 pm

Hi
I’ve built a simple patch to generate exponential/logarithmic scaling of input-output. Given that my maths expertise < = national average, it appears from the patch below that the pow curve inverted is very similar to the log curve. What I would like to achieve is a smooth symmetrical output curve, either concave or convex.

Hey thanks

so the core of this example is that [pow] will accept arguments <1. ?

it’s two different solutions
inverting the result of pow with !- 1 before and after it
use < 1 pow

it gives slightly different results.
