Simultaneous note output from seq.

October 13, 2007 | 11:56 pm

Hi,

I’m using Midiparse to seperate out pitch/velocity information which is output by an seq object. The problem is that I can’t see how to retrieve more than one note at a time. I have tried the obvious things like unpacking and routing but can’t seem to access more than the one note.

Cheers

Good point. Essentially I am trying to control drum samples via a MIDI file played back through an seq object.

First I parse the data then select the MIDI notes to trigger the associated samples. Doing it this way means that only the sample with the highest associated MIDI note is played and all other drum instruments are ignored. Am I going about this the wrong way in this case?

Cheers

You could use a [thresh] to collect all the notes which come in at the
same time to get a chord as list…
