Last year Victor Lazzarini wrote an article in csound journal about single-sideband (“assymetrical”) modulations in FM synthesis.

Has anyone done something similar in Max/MSP ? Would this demand a dedicated object?

The csound/math is a little dense for me; but my first thoughts were of a ring modulated FM signal, as RM/AM subtracts the fundamental frequency. Turns out, this is apparently what Victor describes – by my flimsy understanding anyway. Perhaps some further filtering of the output signal would allow shaping? But if you need/want a patch that directly implements the csound code in Max………..anyone?
