Sonar and MAX/Pluggo?

I am trying to load my Max pluggo in Sonar6. For some reason
my pluggo synth does not seem to be getting any MIDI data. Has
anyone had any success in loading custom max/pluggo pluggins in
Sonar?

Actually I have been testing with Tutorial P9.pat. I can insert it but
I want to be able to generate MIDI data and route that to another synth
track.
But it looks like Sonar treats MIDI and synth as one. Is it possible to
create a MIDI only plugin in Sonar?

Come to think of it, I could always use MIDI yoke
to route MIDI data to Sonar. I guess it is not that
big of a deal. Although it would be nice to not have to
run two apps.

Looks like VST MIDI out is supported in Sonar >= 5.2

Did you make your patch into a synth?

So I have decided to revisit this issue because I would really
like to be able to get pluggo working in Sonar. Up to this point
I have not been successful. I have posted below a simple plugin
that I am using to test in Sonar 6.2. I am unable to route the
output of this sample plugin to any other Sonar midi track.
Has anyone has any success with getting pluggo to work in
Sonar6?

Trying again, has anyone had any success with getting
a pluggo instrument to work in Sonar6 or Sonar7.

I am trying to get a pluggo built with the “#C synth;”
option to show up as a synth so that I can send MIDI
data from my plugin to other tracks.

After more investigation it looks like Sonar does not
recognize the pluggo plugin as a VSTi, it thinks
it is an audio VST plugin. But I am definitely including the
“#C synth;” statement in my pluconfig.

Can someone at Cycling74 please help with this…

I figured it out! When you add your pluggo to Sonar, it
imports the pluggo as a VST. Bring up the plugin manager
and select the pluggo and select plugin properties. Enable
“Configure as synth”, your pluggo is then moved to the
VSTi section. You can then add it as a synth, make sure
you select enable MIDI output when you do.
