sonograph

Dear All,
i am wanting a patch or external which enables me to load sound files which will then be displayed as a sonograph. I attempted altering the ready made sonograph patch that comes with max without any success as I am relatively new to max/msp. Any help/pointers would be great.
Thanks,
Paul.

there is a problem with the spectroscope~ object in that it constantly updates itself. I am needing to save the spectrograms as image files for use in a piece of writing i am doing. i will also need to compare various sounds. and therefore compare the images…

A good, free, cross-platform program for sonograms is ‘visible speech
sonogram’ – available here:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/sonogram

Have fun!
