I have the option of buying this sony fingerprinter thing, for like $25…

But I REALLY want to use it as a human interface device….

I wonder if anyone here has used one, or connected to the hi object.

I think it would be really cool, considering you could alter a
performance based on the fingerprint info…

ANY experience with this thing??

who’d buy a fingerprint ID system to secure their infrastructure if

no clue if im right, but just a hunch. Id seriously doubt its HID
compliant.

im sure there is a software dev kit however for it. Might want to
check that out.

so how “secure” it really is, is probably in question. They dont seem to
have much luck in the security dept, if their cd/dvd copy technology is ANY
indicator.

Also, this little piece o’ shit was never very expensive, and I seriously
doubt it was popular.

But based on your comment, I am going to forgo buying it.

One thing I DONT want to do, is load some bunk security software on my
machine and get locked out, because of Sony’s crappy tech.
