Sound problem using Max MSP 4.5 and Cubase at the same time

Hello,

I have a problem using at the same time Cubase 4.2 SX and Max MSP 4.5 with the sound card M-Audio Delta Audiophile 24/96.
I’m using Windows XP SP2.
Cubase seems to monopolise the sound channel, so I can’t listen any sound through Max MSP when the 2 software are open.
Max MSP runs normaly when Cubase is not open.

I would like to know if Max MSP 5 will resolve this problem?

Thanks for your help (and sorry for my english…) !

On Windows, ASIO drivers can only be used by one application at a time,
which sounds like it may be your problem. You could use Rewire (or
Soundflower) to route audio from one to the other…
