sounddesign: effusion of gas from a gas bottle

Hi,
I want to create a sound like described in the header, see also attached soundfile.

white noise, some distortion, bandpass filters? Seems pretty straightforward, have you tried something already or read up on the physics behind it?

Hi,

Yes, I was trying white noise with biquad~ bandpass filtering but that did sound (very) different :-(
It seems more difficult that I thought thats why I was posting.
No idea where to read about the physics..

I had this happen unexpectedly while experimenting with modal synthesis and rapid pitch fluctuations, so you might want to look there.

there is a book by andy farnell, which covers a lot of these topics in minute detail and gives examples in pure data (easy to translate to max):
