Soundflower problems.. im doomed!

Hey peepz. I Know this a bit far out since I use pure data and not max – but I really hope you guys can help me (i don’t get many replys from the pure data forum).

I have a Pure Data patch, and some inputs I want to go into ableton.

I’ve downloaded soundflower. I can get the sound into ableton – but only on channels 1 and 2 (when i open soundflowerbed –> 16ch the “routing option” is grey…?)

Now, I really would like to have my inputs from my soundcard (PreSound FireBox) into ableton as well.
I’ve tried making a agregate device, but when i choose this device as my output in PD – the I/O Audio gets stuck… closing audio.

Any help is much needed since I have a show comming up in a few days where this combination is a big part of.

Not sure about Pure Data, but I ran into a similar problem with Max. It turned out that not all of the virtual ports in Max were routed to the ‘physical’ soundflower ports, just the first two. There might be a similar setup in pure data. For me, output 1 & 2 were routed to Soundflower’s channels 1&2, but 3-16 were set to ‘off’.

This was often the case when I went from a 2 channel driver to soundflower. If I started Max with Soundflower, the 16 channels would be set properly as default.

Started max with soundflower? – How do you do that?

What I meant was ‘started Max with Soundflower as the audio driver’. Sorry if that was confusing.
