hi

a very basic question – in max 4 you could define the spacing between sliders of a multislider in its inspector. in Max 5 I see you can send a message “spacing $1″ but can you also set it in the inspector???

yes, it’s called “Slider Spacing(Space between Sliders)”
(wow, it’s label is such overkill, but oh well…)

if you ever know of a message and are trying to find the equivalent in inspector, just click the “@” symbol at the bottom left of the inspector to open up the attribute’s message names. You’ll see it much more easily.(Many of the ‘Setting’ names in the inspectors of objects are pretty confusing if you’re used to the simplicity of simply using messages like in Max4, imho.)
