Spectral Averaging à la "Billboard"

April 5, 2009 | 10:42 pm

Hello,

I am working on a project similar to Luke DuBois’s "Billboard" for my senior research. As my patches stand now, they only work for simple audio files, such as a person singing one note. For more complex files (i.e. pop songs), they play only low, noisy tones. I think I need to add normalization but are there any other things I need to change? Below is what I have so far.

Thank you so much for your help!

Do you basically want to realize a phase vocoder, then variations on it?
-in the record pfft~: do you really want [frameaccum~] on the amplitude and phase differences?
-in the play pfft~: do you really no want any [frameaccum~] on the phase?
