Stefan -

As we have mentioned repeatedly, most recently yesterday, this is under
development. We thank you for your patience — solving this problem has
not been easy and we understand that you’ve been waiting for a while.

Every email I have to write repeating this takes several minutes out of
the time I would have to spend finishing the fix. Furthermore, you know
that this is a priority for us, and there’s no amount of pressure that’s
going to make it come faster than it’s going to come. You’ve been part
of this community long enough to be keenly aware of that.

And speaking personally, there is absolutely no sense in repeatedly
pushing my buttons — it just gets on my nerves.

If you need a solution yesterday, plug the audio output of your computer
into the audio input, or downgrade to OS X.3 with QuickTime 6.

Or *split* your movie files (can be done in batch with jit.qt.movie)
into movie and sound files to use with sfplay~. Again, has been
mentioned several times and it provides more rocust playback
possibilities that those provided by earlier versions of spigot~.

I have a workaround that I can post if anyone is interested. First you must
open your movie in Quicktime and export the sound as a separate file giving
it the same name as the video (video.mov, video.aif). Then sync the loop
and playback of jit.qt.movie and sfplay~ with common messages. This works
for simple playing. Obviously there is a bit more work if you want to sync
random access.

Or route system sound out to SoundFlower and set Max input to same. An ADC~
and a DAC~ with a gain slider in between and you’re done.

my workaround is to patch the first 2 channels of the audio interface back in.
works only with multichannel audio card, but sure is less effort than working with splitted files.

best,
david
