I havent found a method in the docs right off and I was curious if there is a method for having spigot send a bang or similiar when it is finished loading audio into cache. When dealing with large video files it would helpful so I dont try to throw content before the buffering is finished.
Thanks!

you might have more success by separating your audio and video tracks, and loading the audio in a buffer~.

if you need further explanation, search the forum for something like “sync jit.qt.movie groove~”.

thanks alot! that method is great and I also took some insight from the poly~ method that andrew was just speaking of in the VPS tutorial. Check one more little bug off the list for me!

PS
what is the nitty gritty of why spigot is so different from loading into a buffer~ object? seems that they would be essentially the same action….does spigot send to a disk cache and buffer use RAM?
