Square preset button feature request

December 1, 2013 | 10:25 am

Please. It would be nice to have a choice of round or square that allows for uniformity in a UI. I happen to need square.

thanks, P

Could you DIY perhaps, with the ubutton object? The helpfile has some cool tricks

That is a great idea, thanks for pointing out. My main problem is that I have my preset objects tied to different pattrstorages in subpatches.

With all the tweaks available in other UI elements it would be nice to see some control over the shape of the buttons. As irrational as it sounds I prefer squares instead of circles.

best P

I’m used to it :-)

There is purpose behind the name. Glad you got it!

I like your suggestion but it’s really easy to make your own custom buttons using matrixctrl. Here’s an example with preset. The image used should be in your search path.. If you don’t see square buttons let me know.

@Metamax.

Yes, thanks, I have used Matrixctrl a lot but it doesn’t provide the operating system niceties (copy, paste, renumber, insert, delete) of close ties with pattrstorage. Preset is pretty neet in controlling the pattr system so adding yet another GUI layer is cumbersome.
