Stack Overflow and File Salvaging

supposing one were to create a feedback loop initiated with loadbang, which caused max to crash when the patch was opened, would there be a way for one to access the file and correct the mistake or would this file best belong in the trash?

Opening the file as text, and nuking the loadbang would probably work.

Or opening the patch with cmd-shift…
