I’ve been developing a patch for sometime now and it has never caused any problems. I recently wanted to start using presets using the pattr storage object. If I save one preset thats fine, if I alter any parameter and save another preset, when I try and recall the preset I get the error message along the top of the screen “through: stack overflow”. When I click on the message to explore the problem it opens a sub patch within the main patch but highlights no object within it. I deleted this sub patch and now it gives the same error message in the main window but does not highlight the offending object. I searched in the forum and on the net and found no mention of this error. Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks

you need to post the patch. possibly something you’re doing with how the pattrstorage recalls the values? it’s strange that one slot works though…

Thanks for the response. I didn’t send the patch originally as it was quite messy and had lots of abstractions and sub patches. On reading your response I was going to send it so i decided to tidy it up. I started deleting elements of the patch, even if they were being used, and then seeing if i still got the error. As it turned out what was causing the error was the preset recall box itself. I was using a “umenu” object to recall presets. When I deleted this object and just used individual numbered message boxes I was able to store and recall different presets.
