standalone, window focus, udp, on bamboo tablet controller

Hi, I used the wacom tablet and a simplified version of Matt Wright et al’s OSC-ification of it so that I can send OSC from the tablet out through max to be picked up by another program. The patch works fine, but when I try to build it as a standalone two things don’t happen like in the patch: First the window won’t keep focus when I use the pen (i.e. the pen does not get captured by the max standalone, it reacts to whatever is underneath it–unlike in the patch, where the max window grabs everything as long as it has focus). Second, nothing gets broadcast, so no udp, no OSC. I’ve looked through the settings and the little bit of documentation on standalones and have not been able to find any way of addressing this. I read the list of externals max used in the build and tried moving each of them to the support folder, but still no luck. Does anyone have any ideas what I am missing?

when I open the collective in max rather than the standalone running, it give an error saying “wacom: failed to get window handle” Any ideas what this might mean or how to correct it?
