I am trying to write a patch that will create a moving star field, as if one is moving into it, or along side it. A bit like in a very old video game where stars come at one from a vanishing point.

Thanks Luke. I wasn't aware of shiva and brahma. That's helpful. I think the patch is actually pretty much the help file for shiva.

This is the kind of thing I had in mind but I want to be able to generate something similar with spheres. I'll see if it's possible but any pointers from anyone would be a great help !

I've been looking at jit.gl.multiple but have yet to figure out if one can use it for such purposes. It seems to make a grid.

don't know who did that patch, but this is probably something that will point you in the right direction...
