stopping clips

Seemingly random behaviour stopping clips.

I attached the patch – I am a beginner with max for live so don’t be too harsh!

For clips that don’t have an endpoint at the end of the loop point the patch doesn’t stop the clip but if I click the button which I think should do the same it stops ok.

I commented this in the patch so it should be reasonably clear.

I am on the verge of doing something really clunky like stopping it manually with a button!!!

If something doesn’t work as expected I would try to locate the problem with simplified test patches.
This may also be helpful for effective discussion on the forum.

in the end I just simplified and manually stop the clip after I am happy that it’s recorded.

and after all in order to record in my scheme I have to activate the clip so I can see visually when it’s done.

and the length of the record~ buffer takes care of loop overrun.

not how I set out to do it but I have been working with computers for long enough to know that if it works and it’s reasonably easy to understand/maintain then it’s time to move on to the next problem.
