storing text/strings in pattrstorage

June 4, 2008 | 11:45 pm

i’ve found a couple of references to this in other posts, but no answers…

the contents of a message box can’t be stored in a pattrstorage, neither can a text field (just seems to store empty or garbage), and something like an ubumenu just stores the index and not the text. so, is there any way to do this?

thanks.

1. An ubumenu will store symbols if sent the "pattrmode 1" message.

2. How about storing your symbol/list in a pattr?

Try textedit. I use it all the time. Perfect for storing text/strings.
