strange behaviour with overdrive~

November 2, 2008 | 7:00 pm

hi

when applying a signal with input amplitude greater than 0db,
overdrive~ produces a very bad clipping, IF its second input (drive
factor) is fed by a signal – if it’s a float, all is fine

what’s more, in the included patch the "signal-driven" overdrive
still clips even if its gain~ slider is closed!!!

normal???

for reasons i can’t explain (performace-related on older computer) i would love to see a fix for 4.6. how could this be established?

i am a newbie, so please excuse my freshness in asking.

whew kaspar, it looks like someone just offered to take over the upgrade fee for us! great!

an upgrade fee for the fix of a bug is always a good idea.

If you really need it for 4.6, you can download 5.0.5, and copy the
overdrive~, it seems to work.
