subpatch doesnt find abstract in same folder ?

June 9, 2010 | 2:25 am

after a while working on the same patch i cant create abstracts in subpatches even if i duplicate existing abstracts
i can create them in the main (root) patch
i get this error message "newobj: s2r: No such object"
the main path and the abstracts are in the same folder
when i restart max it works again
the patches are located on an different partition (d:) on windows than the program (c:)
i also had the strange behavior that max swapped sometimes the drive letter of the custom java classpath (in my case d:)

any ideas how to fix that ?

ok. max is looking in the location were you currently opened something (patches, soundfiles etc.) and not in the location of the parent patch ;-(

ok. i have two patches in two different locations (no way to change this) both patches try to load their preset files from the directory of the last opened patch and not from the root of each patch ;-(
could you please consider to change this in the next max versions
