MAX/MSP/Jitter class offered for Summer 2009 at Arizona State University.
June 1 – July 2, Monday and Wednesday 5.45pm-9.50pm at the West Campus. Go here for the undergraduate version:
And here for the graduate version:
If you are banging your head against the Max/MSP/Jitter brick wall, come to sunny Phoenix for this five-week intensive workshop. You will learn intuitive approaches to making stuff happen with sound and video and hardware devices, and get sweaty at the same time (if you go outdoors). The instructor, Barry Moon, has been playing with Max/MSP since it was in beta, and Max-fts before that. He has also done a bunch of stuff with Jitter in 2D and 3D as part of a research interest in visualization and sonification. He is not sure about Jeffrey Stolet’s indication that "Getting started with Max is easier than you may think" (Electronic Musician, March09), but that’s mostly because he can’t read the fine print.
