Super mega flightsim in jitter

Just for fun I’ve built this little ‘game’ today (nothing fancy, so don’t get your hopes up :)). Any comments are welcome, e.g. on how the collission detection is done now, on how to maybe make a continuously changing landscape…
Also I was wondering if there’s another way of doing the loop of the landscape than how I did it now, send the 2nd plane as a list, rotate the list and put it back in the matrix. (possibly some expression for jit.expr…)

cheers,
B.

p.s. if the previous mails from yesterday show up afterall..sorry for double posts.. admin please delete the redundant ones…

Turn the volume down, it starts of “colliding”and generating pink noise… wouldn’t want to startle anyone. :$

It’s nice :) When will we get to play Super mega flightsim 3D? ;)

Exactly! Cool :)

That reminds me – I made a simple version of frogger once with Jitter that uses some rediculously easy collision detection, etc.

The patch is a mess and it was all a joke anyway..

very basic: http://abstrakt.vade.info/ILOVETHEMAXLIST/Collision_Detection.zip

*sigh*

Hahaha. Great! Frogger looks like he wouldn’t have any problem with traffic anyway, being that big and all :)
I guess you should rename this version to ‘trafficer’ and try to steer your car away from the monstrous frog :D
great!!

cheerio,

A good way to generate a landscape with with lots of overlaid noise
from jit.bfg. Get some gradient noise, some voronoi noise etc. at
different scales and weights and sum them together.
