Please can someone tell me where to get official support for M4L problems - Ableton or Cycling 74? and if the latter, where are the contact details on the website?

Thanks

Help for programming, patching problems, how do I make this thing etc, post it right here or on the MFL forum at Ableton.com. It helps us all to keep these topics public.

If you think you have a problem with the way our software is working -

Live isn't working right - support at ableton dot com
MaxMSP isn't working right - support at cycling74 dot com

Our support departments are connected, so if you don't know exactly who to go to, we'll sort it out for you.

Thanks :O)

I think my first question is how do I post up M4L patches for assistance? I see blocks of characters on this forum as patches but my amxd files look nothing like that.

My second question/problem, which will be apparent once I work out how to post up the M4L patches here, is, I believe, asynchronous interrogation of the Live API by Max patches....I have a M4L patch that is supposed to reset to a chosen value all the sends on all the channels in my set. It's going to be very useful for setting up send balances in live situations between songs. But if I activate more than two sends to be reset at once their values just bounce back up to near their original values. I have no idea where the [line] object is getting the second set of parameters from. Nor does the progress of the [line] parameter show up correctly in the patcher window.

I need to post up the patch for comment. And it's very ugly ;O)

Select the part of the patch you wish to post and then

Edit - Copy Compressed

If I were you I would paste it into a new topic with a slightly more appropriate subject

Thanks Andrew. I'm going to try and learn a bit more before I post as I don't want to waste your time with utter garbage :O) I'll sort the post subject out too.
