Hello, Im really new to max so this may be a stupid question.. basically I have created a composition which has been mixed for 6.1 and I want to be able to play and mix the 7 channels through max so I can sync it with a lighting patch. Just wondering how to go about it, would I use sfplay?

Check out the help file of sfplay~, there are examples of multi-channel playback.

Also check out dac~ to see how to send audio to multiple outputs.

(you do check the help files and reference of every object you think might be useful for what you're trying to do, don't you?)
