I feel like I'm missing something. Max is on my laptop, PT is on my tower. Hoping to sync them via midi or something else. I've checked the archives. the help file for the sync~ isn't yielding a ramp even with output from RTIN.

Is this non response due to my question being stated poorly or because it's not possible? somehow I need a phasor to sync up to it...

yeah I need to authorize the tower so that they can both work in the same box. rewire doesn't run over networks as far as I know. also disables audio input.

to sync up Ableton and Max i use the sync~ object with the internal midi driver.

when set up the right way this should work with two computers connected trough midi. look if PT is set up so it gets it's clock from the midi device connected to your Max computer. i don't know PT so i can;t help you with that.

this is what i basically use, for syncing up Ableton to Max, with Max as a master and Ableton as a slave. i think this will work the other way around to.
