Hi,

I’m working on a project where I want t to stream live video from Jitter.

One of the ways to do this is to use Camtwist to capture the screen and then send it to Flash Media Live Encoder. The problem is that the video coming out from from FMLE is not smooth enough.

After looking around for other solutions i found Syphon. However, FMLE doesn’t recognise Syphon as a video input. Has anyone got any experience on this ? Is there a way to use Syphon for live video streaming ?

Thanks in advance

I would also like to know this! And whether there is a syphon-compatible recorder that records to a compact format that looks good and plays well with Youtube/Vimeo. Thanks.

Yes thx, been playing with that today; doesn’t seem to offer the kinds of codecs that can output for instance a 1200 kbps h.264 or VP6 file; you record a couple of seconds and you’re up in the tens of MB’s filewise.

I’ve seen this passing by in the past. I never tried it, but maybe you can give it a swing (seems to be Mac only though…)
