I’m trying to work with a demo version of taptools 2.3 in jitter 1.5.2 and Max/Msp 4.5.5 in os x 10.4.11 on a G4 Powerbook.
i was trying to use the tap.jit.motion+ object, and it wouldn’t give me the number outputs. it’ll pass the video ok, but nothing else.
i tried to recreate the object, and found a problem with the tap.jit.sum object. it will not take any input, even one coming from tap.jit.grayscale. i even opened the tap.jit.sum help, disconnected the input to the object, and it would not let me reconnect it!
has anyone else had trouble with this object? is it a compatibility issue with the older version of max and jitter?
any help, ideas, or work arounds would be greatly appreciated.
from tap tool’s webpage:
Tap.Tools Max 2.3.1
Links and Information
- Max version 4.6.2 < -----here's where your problem probably is.
Try it with 4.6.3
Works fine for me in Max4.6.3 with tap 2.3.1 and Jitter 1.6.
yea, i was afraid of that.
it’s a shame that the older versions of taptools aren’t available to demo.
