text2d and handle

July 10, 2008 | 4:16 pm

Hi

I have made a 3d enviroment in jitter using opengl, this consists of a plane and above that a set of spheres positioned according to 3d co-ordinates captured by a gesture capture system. using jit.gl.handle @inherit_transform 1 i am able to rotate both the plane and all the points, this part is working fine. My problem comes when i add text. I am using text2d and i want to simply position text in the top left corner giving some infomation to the user. The problem is i cant get the text to stay in the top left corner as handle affects the position of the text when it is used to rotate the image. I have tried turning off automatic on all the drawing objects but this didnt help. I am new to jitter so any help
or advice you could give me would be great
thanks

try using the transform reset settings with the text2d object. this should
stop it from rotating.
